Our Training Methodology
The Juventus Academy Malta training methodology is one of the modern training methods used in the European youth sectors, which involve the use of the ball during all stages of training. This methodology was born with the aim of developing, at the highest levels, the technical skills and individual tactics without neglecting the motor component of young players.
The continuous monitoring of the effective implementation of the methodology in the Juventus Academy programs is carried out through the use of about 50 Head Coaches, coming from Italians, who have the task of periodically monitoring the activities carried out by the academies and providing adequate training for local staff.
The training methodology is applied taking into account all the age groups present within the youth sector (from under 7 to under 17). As regards the purely technical aspect, attention shifts to the technical aspects of coaching. The technicians, following the tactical principles (construction from below; game development and finalization) on which the methodology of the Juventus Academy is based, develop their own training sessions. In this type of methodological approach, short-term work planning becomes fundamental. Every single session is programmed in stages. Generally the training is structured in 4 phases that follow a didactic progression. The training must be structured so that there is a gradual search for the maximum intensity and maximum specificity of each individual exercise.
