Academy of Los Angeles

The Juventus Academy of Los Angeles strives to deliver the most complete and advanced soccer program in Southern California. We are not competing against the local not-for-profit organizations as we are a unique private soccer school operating independently.

The ultimate goal of the Los Angeles Academy is to develop and promote individual youth players through professional leagues all around the world. We want to showcase top talent by the extensive network of Juventus and its satellite organizations in Europe. Additionally, we want to help local talent reach their full potential for a collegiate career.

Finally, the semi-pro team LA10 FC is our 1st team and an excellent opportunity for our players to gain significant experience within the adult game.

Year-round Academy: Los Angeles & Long Beach

Juventus Academy trains two or three times a week (depending on time of the year and field availability). The program usually starts in August with an age specific pre-season program. All the Juventus Academy teams then participate in a fall League (Coast Soccer League), which ends in late November/early December.

After a short winter break, activities resume, with training, State Cup tournaments/friendlies and a Spring League, which usually lasts until May. At that point all teams go on a two-month summer break, to then restart the cycle the following August.

Tryouts are usually held in the spring but can be requested any time of the year.

Skills Clinic

Our clinics are designed for young players as a supplement to the year-round training. We offer the clinics during the summer, spring, and winter seasons. The skills clinics provide a convenient option for players to receive extra individualized training and help complement their regular club training regimen, in fact the clinics are open to non-Juventus academy players as well.

From beginners to advanced, players can choose from a variety of clinic options that focus on specific technical areas of the game.

Juventus Way

Our approach

What do we mean by the “Juventus Way”? Following on from our philosophy, we aim to develop footballers through a vision which combines technical aspects with mental, emotional and interpersonal ones. Our methodology can be summarised in five points:

Dictate proceedings, keep possession of the ball and stay calm. Focus on individual initiative and collective hard work.

Honed through dynamic drills that aim to perfect every technical skill. The development of each individual player is placed at the heart of every exercise.

Run through several detailed individual and team match situations, to be alternated throughout the week.

Train the individual to make effective decisions in match situations. Develop their speed of thought to adapt with changeable tactical and technical scenarios.

Promote an identity fostering the values of sacrifice, bravery and teamwork, to be applied both on and off the pitch.
